Do the people I share with need to install an app?
No. Anyone opens your link in a browser. You only need the app to broadcast your own location.
Can I embed the live map on my website?
Yes — a single iframe. Great for travel blogs, expeditions and events. It is a Premium add-on.
Can I share permanently with family and friends?
Yes. You each send the other a friend request and accept it once; from then on you skip links entirely and stay on each other's map whenever sharing is on. That one needs Greenalp on both phones; following by link stays one-way and needs no app at all.
Is Greenalp free?
Core location sharing is free. Some features — website embedding, Google-Maps credits, track loading — are Premium add-ons.
Does it work on iPhone?
Greenalp is Android-only, and that is deliberate. There is no iOS app. Anyone — iPhone included — can follow a shared link in a browser; you just need the Android app to broadcast your own location.
